Transforming the Site

Construction works are underway at the 20-acre City Centre site where Belfast Grand Central Station will sit.

Belfast Grand Central Station will be the main gateway to Belfast. It will welcome, commuters, local people and visitors alike, bringing them into the heart of Belfast City, through the fully integrated rail, bus and coach transport hub.

To allow us to create this new state of the art facility and to allow it to operate at full capacity, this site of historical industrial significance is undergoing a major transformation. On completion the site will be taken from it’s previous dereliction into a vibrant destination with an iconic structure at its heart and a place that will welcome several million passengers a year.

‘Transforming the site’ is a series of short videos capturing the complex journey the site must undertake to allow it to transform from current dereliction to dynamic destination.
