The impressive new Busway Bridge, a key element of Translink’s Belfast Grand Central Station project, delivered by GRAHAM Construction is continuing to make good progress.
On completion, the bridge will cross over the newly realigned railway lines, to allow buses from Broadway roundabout near the Westlink access to the new facilities at Belfast Grand Central Station.
The walls on the North and South Ramps of the bridge and the concrete deck are due to be completed later this month, while brickwork cladding to the new retaining walls adjacent to the Westlink is ongoing and we wanted to give the opportunity to have a look at how things are progressing.
Did you know? Once completed the bridge will weigh 1500 tonnes, equivalent to 250 adult African elephants or 125 double decker buses!
