Busway Bridge and Ramps Project Scoops CEF Social Value Award

Translink are delighted that GRAHAM scooped the Social Value Project of the Year Award at the CEF Excellence 2023.

GRAHAM are committed to delivering lasting impact, protecting the environment, connecting communities and transforming the places where we live, work and relax.

Translink have worked closely with GRAHAM from the start of the Enabling Works phase of the project to deliver social value to the communities local to the project, and this has been developed and grown throughout the Busway Bridge & Ramps Project.

From delivering education and employability support initiatives and hosting work experience students to participating in a trial anti-idling campaign and supporting fundraising initiatives – the team adopted a collaborative approach throughout.

Feedback from the judging panel included: “GRAHAM impressed by developing strong partnerships with the client, local community and wider city.”

Gemma Thompson, Translink’s Communication, Brand and Stakeholder Engagement Manager for Belfast Grand Central Station said,

It’s been great working with GRAHAM through out this element of the Belfast Grand Central Station project. We are so pleased that the team’s hard work and commitment to delivering lasting impact for the Belfast Grand Central Station Project has been recognised. It’s brilliant to see the direct benefit the Social Value work of GRAHAM has had on the local communities in a number of areas, leaving a tangible legacy for the projects valued neighbours.”

The CEF (Construction Employers Federation) Construction Excellence Awards were launched in 1999 and for over 20 years the awards have provided an opportunity to recognise the achievements of the local construction industry and to publicise the substantial contribution the industry makes to the economy and society in Northern Ireland.
